About Us
Established in 1984 with a single Primary classroom, the school has grown purposefully to meet the evolving needs of its students and community. A second Primary classroom was added in 1985, followed by the launch of the Lower Elementary program in 1993 and the Upper Elementary program in 2000. Each expansion reflected a thoughtful commitment to Montessori principles and child development.
The Primary program has evolved to include math, reading, writing, expanded science instruction, and Spanish language learning, providing a strong foundation for academic and cognitive growth. At the Elementary level, students deepen their learning through interdisciplinary studies and experiences such as Model United Nations, which foster global awareness and critical thinking.
Outdoor education is a key part of the curriculum at all levels, with features such as a woodland path, butterfly gardens, individual student garden plots, and a chicken coop. These elements support the school’s mission to integrate academic learning with real-world, hands-on experiences, nurturing both the intellect and the natural curiosity of each child.
Why Aggieland Country School?
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is rooted in love, respect, and the belief that every child has the potential to change the world. Inspired by the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, we strive to create a warm and nurturing community where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow into their best selves.
We are more than a school; we are a family. Together with our students, families, and educators, we build an environment filled with kindness, curiosity, and a deep sense of connection. Our goal is to guide children as they develop the confidence, empathy, and resilience to lead with compassion and integrity.
We believe the care we give today shapes the future of humanity. By fostering a loving and inclusive space, we are planting seeds of hope that will blossom into a better tomorrow for all. At our school, every child’s journey matters, and every moment is an opportunity to make a difference.
